Foo fighters – there is nothing left to lose

Foo Fighters - what’s not to like about these guys? They make great, totally varied music and the vocalist is the multi-talented ex-drummer from Nirvana. A winning combination for sure, and this album proves that statement.

There is nothing better than an album that makes you happy, and the songs on TNLTL certainly do that. Just listen to Ain’t it the life or Next year. Or the more melodic Learn to fly. Or the harder Stacked Actors or Breakout. I guarantee that each and every song will make you want to listen to it over and over. Dave Grohl makes the music, his voice can go soft or loud, and this changes the sound of each song completely.

There is a downside. Some of the songs drag on a little. This is not a good; ever heard the phrase “Too much of a good thing”? Take for example, Next year and Aurora (nearly 6 minutes long!). These could be made shorter.

Besides these minor niggles, you have one of the best albums ever made. I have noticed that most of the songs are relaxing to a certain extent. They make you want to chill out. This is a good CD to listen to if you are going on a long car journey (if your the passenger, of course!), or if your laid in bed listening to it on headphones…
